The two co-chairs and a majority of other members recently resigned from the Lake and Dam Committee.  The members resigned after the Board voted against the Committee’s recommendation for a modest winter draw-down, with one of its goals being to help reduce the weeds in the shallower portions of the lake.  Unfortunately, this means the Homeowners Association is moving down a path where there will inevitably be more prominent weed problems this summer (specifically milfoil), which could be misunderstood as a reason to need herbicides to keep the lake fully recreational.

“We are thrilled to be among the founding members of this organization.  The community means so much to us, and we want it to be as safe and pristine for our children and grandchildren as it has been for us.  The lake offers such a wide variety of fun activities, and we want this to continue without the worry of introducing herbicides to the lake or the Waterbury watershed.”
