During the July 4th long hot weekend we saw many people out enjoying the lake in their boats and in the water.  We thought it was very important to remind everyone in the lake community that the health of the lake is very much impacted by what you use to care for your lawn and plants.  Using phosphorous-basd fertilizers is prohibited by the Association rules - yet we see many landscapers and homeowners ignore these rules.  This may make your lawn look better - but it also runs into the lake and causes weed growth.  Take the time to check that you or your landscaper is using organiz material to feed your lawn and plants.  There are many reputable companies like LDM that specialize in organic based care.  Make sure you use a provider that is abiding by these rules.
