We are also very happy to let everyone know about our productive and helpful ongoing dialogue with the current President of the WLPOA Board of Directors.  On Saturday, July 27th, at the July WLPOA Board Meeting , we were granted time to introduce ourselves, answer some questions about who we are and why we exist, and we feel that the members present at that meeting are excited about this new venture.  Also at that meeting, the acting Chairperson of the Lake and Dam Committee of the WLPOA gave a very thorough and thoughtful presentation of all the various methods of controlling milfoil that the committee has been looking at.  We thought the presentation was excellent, and we hope the committee continues to look at the natural non-chemical methods carefully.  We are very interested in the current studies being done by 2 biologists from SUNY, hired by the WLPOA Board, in order to establish a natural biological method of weed control that respects the entire ecosystem in the lake.  We hope the Lake and Dam Committee continues on this hopeful path.

We continue to welcome all new members, and we will be updating the website more often to let you know about our progress.  This is a really exciting venture and we thank all our members and people who are reading this for your interest and support.   Together we can conserve and improve the lake we love so much!
